Economically events in different countries can affect my life. For example, 25 percent of california's economy is tied to the Pacific Rim nation, so if those nations become involved in a major war or natural disaster and their economy fails, the california economy will also be affected. Also due to the revolution of Egypt and instability in the middle east (where most OPEC nations are) it is obvious that gas prices have risen affecting our daily lives. Even though Mubarak was a dictator who stole from the country, the U.S. supported him and in exchange got generous free oil trade privileges. Now that Mubarak (U.S.'s former ally) has been overthrown, and more middle east (OPEC) nations like Libya are also looking for freedom and fighting for democracy, and the U.S.'s oil privileges have been put on hold, raising our daily gas prices, affecting our daily lives.

It has a major effect on our lives because w depend so much on other countries and they depend on us, that if something were to happen to one of the other countries we would be in trouble. For example if the country were we get most of our oil supplies something happens and we aren't getting oil the oil prices would sky rocket and the united states would be in major trouble.

Depending on the event in the different country, a number of different outcomes can impact our lives here. For example: a destructive earthquake would impact us by our wanting to reach out and help the struggling country. An attack could result in a counterattack or the beginning of a war. Rises in taxes in a different countries or changes in their economy effects the entire world financially.

Even though the United States is a world superpower, many things that occur in foriegn countries effect our lives. Oil prices and availability produce prices and availability, and raw material prices can all be affected by other countries. These things are very important to our lives. Withour them, we would falter.
